Our sixth and seventh grade students have been working hard on their Science Fair projects since October under the guidance of their science teacher, Mrs. Gurrola and Jeanine Hoffman, school parent and engineer by profession! All projects will be judged at the school’s Science Fair on February 5th, and some students will be selected to represent St. John Fisher School at the 70th LA County Science Fair in March.

This annual event, held at the Pasadena Convention Center, showcases the talents of the 6th to 12th grade students from more than 150 area schools. The students show off their investigative skills and creativity to compete for medals, special awards and scholarships. Students not only receive recognition for their projects, but the Science Fair nurtures student’s interest in various scientific and engineering fields.

we welcome parishioners, who have a background in science, to consider volunteering to help judge projects on February 5th. Please either e-mail Mrs. Hudani here or call 310.377.2800 if you are able to support our science program by volunteering as a a judge.
