St. John Fisher Family Groups Remember Veterans and Active Service Men and Women

Last week, students in grades kindergarten through eighth met in family gourds to honor those who have served and continue to serve and protect our country.  The eighth graders explained to the younger students the importance of Veteran’s Day.  One of our active scouts, an eighth-grade student, asked the St. John Fisher families if they would like to donate left over Halloween candy for the active troops.  He received an overwhelming response, and the family groups were able to fill over a hundred bags of candy for our troops.  Each student also made a card thanking the service men and women, which was included with each bag of candy.  May God continue to bless the dedicated men and women who serve our country.
