In November, Fifth grade enjoyed a week full of fun football related activities in preparation to their visit at SoFi Stadium.
The Fifth grade classroom was completely transformed into a football stadium, complete with fans, a turf field, and games. The idea behind classroom transformations is to “set the stage to engage,” and students were engaged! Over the course of the week, students learned about main ideas and details in writing, reviewed spelling, punctuation and grammar concepts, practiced their research skills, and put their geography knowledge to the test by mapping football stadiums around the US.
Football week concluded with an amazing field trip to SoFi Stadium where Super Bowl LVI will be hosted. The fifth grade class, and numerous chaperones, were taken on a private tour of the stadium where they got exclusive access to the field and locker rooms!
Fifth grader Max concluded, “Football was amazing and it was unlike any other week I’ve ever had at school.”
